BROWN BINS - DDC REMINDER
Householders in Daventry District are being urged to ensure that they don’t contaminate their brown bins with other household waste. An increasing number of brown bins that have been collected by recycling crews recently were found to contain non-biodegradable waste, which causes problems when the waste is taken for composting. People should only put the following into their brown bins: garden waste, shredded paper, cardboard, brown envelopes (non-window), wrapping paper and books. Glass can be recycled through the blue box, and textiles should be placed out for collection via the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance bag.
