BT Payphone Update
Daventry District Council has on behalf of the Parish Council objected to the removal of the village payphone, which means in effect that BT cannot remove it before 6 September 2008.  After that date BT have the right to challenge any objections and an Appeals Process will take place. Evidence from BT showed that during the period September 2006 to September 2007 only ONE call was made from the village phone box. However since this process started, BT have decided to give local authorities the opportunity to adopt or sponsor their own payphone and the Parish Council is investigating this possibility.
